EVBO invites its members to nominate outstanding individuals who have made significant contributions to the advancement of vascular biology in Europe. Two awards are open for nomination:
EVBO Impact Award
For researchers who are 5–15 years beyond their first independent scientific position.
EVBO Lifetime Achievement Award
For researchers who are 15 or more years beyond their first independent position. Nominations for this award must be supported by three additional signatories. Supporting scientists do not need to be EVBO members. Each EVBO member may nominate one candidate and may also serve as a supporting signatory for up to two additional nominations.
Both the EVBO Lifetime Achievement Award and the EVBO Impact Award will be announced at the upcoming IVBM meeting in Adelaide, Australia. We kindly ask nominators to confirm with their nominee that they will be present at IVBM to receive the award and, if selected, to present the award lecture.
All nominations should be submitted in PDF format and must include: a nomination letter outlining key publications or achievements relevant to the award; the supporting signatories (for the Lifetime Achievement Award only) and confirmation that the nominee is willing and able to attend the IVBM meeting and deliver the award lecture.
Please note that the nominated scientist must be affiliated with a different institution from the nominator. We encourage you to consider putting forward deserving colleagues and to help us recognise excellence within our community.
Nomination letters should be 1 page maximun, submitted to secretary@evbo.org and will be accepted until 15 May 2026.
