Website Medical faculty Mannheim, University of Heidelberg
The position (3 years with option to extend) is based in the group of Vascular Signaling, Metabolism and Cancer at the Institute of Clinical Chemistry, Medical faculty Mannheim, University of Heidelberg.
About the Project: Join our dynamic team to investigate how blood vessels influence immune responses and cancer progression. Endothelial cells play a central role in the tumor microenvironment, shaping both immune and stromal cell behavior through angiocrine signaling (e.g., Taylor et al., Nat Cancer 2023; Wiedmann et al., Nat Comms 2023; Alsina-Sanchis et al., Cancer Res 2022).
Your research will focus on endothelial cell biology and its crosstalk with immune and cancer cells. To achieve this, you will apply state-of-the-art approaches in cell and molecular biology, combined with omics technologies, as well as bioinformatic analyses and integrative data interpretation.
