Project: Exploiting organ-on-a-chip technology to unravel the dynamic adaptation of microvasculature to biomechanical environmental cues.
The position: A 12-months postdoc and a 12-months predoc position are available in the group of Prof. Alessandro Fantin (Department of Biosciences, University of Milan) to study novel mechanisms in Vascular Biology by exploiting microfluidic devices, in vivo models and single cell studies. The position is funded by a competitive salary supported by the Italian Ministry of University and Research. Starting date: January-March 2024.
Qualification: The researchers will be highly motivated and career-oriented research fellows with a high level of independence and a PhD (for postdoc position) or a MSc degree (for predocs) in molecular, cellular or developmental biology, bioengineering or equivalent.
Experience with tissue culture and/or mouse in vivo handling is essential. Expertise in transcriptomic profiling and organ-on-a-chip models will provide a selective advantage.
Candidates possessing excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills in spoken and written English must be able to work independently as well as with interdisciplinary teams.
