You will have the opportunity to work on an ambitious and groundbreaking project aimed at unveiling the role of cardiac mechanical forces on cancer progression by using lentiviral library vectors, animal models, engineered heart tissues and spatial transcriptomic. The project will be performed in the international and stimulating environment of the ICGEB (project leader), in collaboration with the group of Giancarlo Forte at King’s College in London (UK).
Applicants must hold a PhD degree in Biology or related scientific fields and have hands-on experience in cellular and molecular biology techniques and human disease models. Fluent spoken and written English are required.
Previous experience in cardiovascular, cancer and mechanobiology is highly desirable.
The project is funded by Worldwide Cancer Research (UK). The position is for 24 months with a salary of 32-41.000€ per year, depending on experience and qualifications, starting in April 2024.
