Job Description

We are seeking a candidate to apply for a 3-year Sara Borrell contract in in the next AESI 2026 call (January 2026, intramural call of the ISCIII).

Line of Research:

Study of the tumor microenvironment of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) to find new therapeutic strategies. Advanced murine model of pancreatic cancer and in vitro models of murine and human PDAC cell lines will be used, along with endothelial cells and other components of the tumor microenvironment. Immunohistochemistry, real-time PCR, flow cytometry, WB, cell culture in 2D and 3D and metabolic assays will be performed.

Preferred expertise

• PhD in Life Sciences (from 2021 onwards).

• Competitive CV:

-Publications in the last five years as lead and/or corresponding author in top-quartile/decile journals (Journal Citation Report).

-Participation in research projects and postgraduate training.

-Other (Mobility (with international research groups) and/or Specialized Healthcare Training and/or the full Río Hortega Program).

-For candidates wishing to join the same R&D Center where they completed their predoctoral training, they must have completed postdoctoral stays at different R&D Centers for at least 12 months.

-Not be holding a Sara Borrell contract at the time of application, nor have completed one previously.
