She completed doctoral studies at the University of Barcelona, Catalunya. Later, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research and at the Barts Cancer Institute, in London. She established her research group as a Junior PI at the Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBELL). In February 2021, Dr. Graupera was recruited to IJC as a group leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Mission Statement<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mariona Graupera is a vascular biologist with expertise in signalling. The Graupera lab takes advantage of the PI3K pathway as a paradigm to understand how intracellular roads regulate vessel morphogenesis, and how this knowledge can be translated into therapeutic opportunities for diseases characterized by aberrant vessel growth.
