In 2011, she completed a PhD in Developmental Biology at the National Institute for Medical Research, UK, in the laboratory of Elke Ober. Kaska conducted her post-doctoral work in Ben Hogan\u2019s laboratory at the Institute of Molecular Bioscience, Australia. In 2018, she moved to Uppsala University, Sweden, to establish her independent line of research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Mission Statement<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main focus of Kaska Koltowska\u2019s laboratory is to better understand how the molecular and cellular regulators work together to ensure proper lymphatic vessel formation. As this is a very dynamic process, she uses zebrafish as a model system to visualise it as it happens in real-time <em>in vivo<\/em>. Together with state-of-the-art genetic models and the newest single-cell transcriptomics, she aims to identify new players regulating lymphatic vessel development.
