This project is conducted in collaboration with another French group (Pr Loïc Garçon, Amiens). As a postdoctoral researcher in our lab, you will work within a group composed of a tenured scientist, biologists, students, and a technician. As the project refers to a human pathology, we have recently constructed an animal model recapitulating the pathology. You will be in charge of studying the role of a mechanotransducer in platelet activation and megakaryopoiesis, and you will also participate in the study of its role in erythroipoiesis. Your tasks will include animal experimentation, cell culture, tissue culture as well as fluorescence and confocal microscopy experiments. Your duty will include animal experiments, cell culture, tissue culture as well as experiments in fluorescence and confocal microscopy.
About the Lab
UMR_S1140 “Innovative Therapies in Haemostasis” (https://www.ithem.fr/) led by Pr Pascale Gaussem is recognized for its expertise in haemostasis, in management of antithrombotic treatments and in development of innovative biotherapies. The unit is located in the very center of Paris at the Faculty of Pharmacy (4, avenue de l’Observatoire 75006 Paris, France) and benefits from a favorable scientific environment.
The main mission of UMR_S1140 is to develop new therapeutic strategies in haemostasis and cardiovascular diseases through the improvement of knowledge in the field of molecular mechanisms of haemostasis and vasculogenesis, and of management of antithrombotic drugs. Scientific objectives are: i) to understand the role of adult stem cells with vasculogenic properties in blood vessel formation in physiopathological conditions (Theme 1) and, ii) to analyze new mechanisms involved in the regulation of platelet functions and to conduct a transversal program on antithrombotic agents from the molecular basis of coagulation to animal models and clinical studies in targeted populations (Theme 2).
Methodologies used : Preclinical models of angiogenesis, thrombosis, bleeding, and intravital microscopy. Cell biology: cell culture in 2D and 3D scaffold (primary (endothelial), stem cells (endothelial progenitors, megakaryocytes, mesenchymal), cell transfection, in vitro angiogenesis assays, flow experiments, immunocytochemistry, production of recombinant proteins Molecular biology, RT-qPCR, Flow cytometry, biochemistry (WB, ELISA, signalling) Immunohistochemistry, confocal microscopy.
Duties: 100% post-doctoral research fellow.
Formal requirement: PhD in cell biology, or a related field. Eligible candidates must have completed their PhD within two years of the application deadline. Candidates who have defended their thesis more than 2 and less than 4 years ago will also be evaluated, but the duration of the position will be reduced to 20-21 months. Candidates must have a degree in animal experimentation
Additional qualifications: Additional strengths include knowledge in haematology and an experience in cell culture and fluorescence and confocal microscopy. The candidate must be highly motivated, curious and enthusiastic about working in a collaborative team. He/she is expected to take initiative and to have a good team spirit.

Application Process:
Submit all following application documents in a single PDF file by an email to christilla.Bachelot-loza@u-paris.fr with the subject line “Postdoc Application Epiox.”
1. CV
2. Cover letter describing your research interests, skills, and motivation
3. Publication list
4. Letters of recommendation from least two referees (+ email address)

[27
0":"post-1994","1":"job_listing","2":"type-job_listing","3":"status-expired","4":"has-post-thumbnail","5":"hentry","6":"pmpro-has-access","8":"job-type-post-doctoral
["GET
